Mark experienced large corporate mergers from the inside and understands the challenges of keeping a company profitable during transition. He was on the local credit team at Nestle Ice Cream Company when they merged with Dreyer’s Ice Cream in 2003 and Fleetcard Fuels, Inc. with they sold in 2012.

He completed all business broker course work, and he became a National Affiliate of the Business Broker Network in 2004. Mark has been licensed to coordinate the sale of businesses and sale and lease commercial real estate in California since 2005. After completing the financial courses requirements and passing the Certified Business Broker Exam, he was recertified for another 4 years by the California Business Broker Association in 2012. Mark assists the CABB Board with new membership recruitment.

Promoting the health of the local business community, Mark currently has board positions with both the Executive Business Roundtable: Business Development Committee, and the Central California Credit Association: Credit & Collection Committee. In addition, he is an active member of the Greater Bakersfield Chamber of Commerce.

Mark is a US Air Force veteran. He has spent the last thirty years working in financial service companies in the central valley either as an employee, consultant or principle. Mark has a bachelor degree in Business Administration, has held an occupational teaching credential, and has taught credit and collection classes at Bakersfield College.

Mark is passionate about being positive, supporting others to achieve their goals, and helping kids learn job skills. He has volunteered as a High School Job Coach and Junior Achievement Instructor. He enjoys working with people and providing the high level of service. He likes riding his bike, hiking and being close to nature.
